CM: Milan hold talks with intermediary over Valencia midfielder – the details

AC Milan are probing various ideas to keep their options open in the summer transfer window and that applies to the midfield, where Javi Guerra’s name has been mentioned as a target.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan have not given up on Yossouf Fofana who was identified by Geoffrey Moncada as the ideal reinforcement for the midfield. Contacts with the Frenchman’s agent are constant with the hope of quickly reducing the gap with Monaco, who want €25m.

However, the Rossoneri management also have the duty to look around to find alternative solutions are so they are not caught unprepared. Javi Guerra is the latest name to emerge, and he is a versatile player who can play as a mezzala or in the double pivot in front of the defence.

Milan appreciate his quality and his reading of the game a lot, and the report adds that they have had ‘exploratory contacts’ with his Italian intermediary in recent days. However, time is not on Milan’s side.

Moncada would like to step in only if the arrival of the main target Fofana were to be ruled out, while Real Sociedad are pressing to sign Guerra and are getting close to the €20m that is being requested, with Girona also in the running.
