CM: Milan’s first offer deemed unsatisfactory by Calabria – new contacts soon

Davide Calabria was one of the key players for Milan this past season and it’s not exactly a surprise that the Rossoneri want to renew his contract. In fact, talks are underway between the parties, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan have already made their first offer for the right-back: a five-year deal worth €2m per year. Calabria’s current deal will expire in 2022 and Paolo Maldini wants to avoid another Donnarumma-esque situation.

However, the first offer was deemed unsatisfactory by Calabria and his agent as they are asking for a bit more to renew. There will soon be a new meeting between the parties to assess the situation, with the hopes of coming to an understanding.

As mentioned, Calabria was a key player for Milan this past season with 32 appearances in the league, bagging two goals and assisting an additional two. Hopefully, he will renew his deal with the club.
