Krunic was not named in the squad for last night’s win over Cagliari due to back issues, or at least that was the official reason given, while he seems to have fallen to the bottom of Stefano Pioli’s midfield hierarchy.

According to what is being reported by Calciomercato.com, Krunic is currently experiencing a difficult moment and a change of scenery might well be on the cards after offers arrived but were rejected during the summer window.

It is Fenerbahce above all who are pushing to bring him to Istanbul just as they did a few months ago. Contacts have resumed while Milan are waiting for a concrete offer to sanction the sale, which would need to be around €4-5m as per the source.

If Krunic’s departure were to materialise, a new addition might well be needed in the middle of the pitch given that Pioli will have to do without Tommaso Pobega for several months and with Ismael Bennacer involved in the African Cup of Nations with Algeria.
