CM: Rebic still struggling with elbow injury as derby remains in doubt – the latest

Ante Rebic is working hard to recover from the elbow dislocation he suffered in the game against Crotone. The initial reports suggested that he would be ready for the derby, but he might not make it.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, the Croatian is still struggling with the injury and thus his presence in the derby remains in doubt. His condition will be re-evaluated by a specialist in the middle of next week, which will be decisive.

There is optimism that he will be available for the important game, scheduled for 18:00 on Saturday.  Should he fail to make it, then Brahim Diaz and Rafael Leao will start on the left-wing, two very good option for the Rossoneri.

On a positive note, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has recovered from COVID-19 and will be at Stefano Pioli’s disposal for the game. Hopefully, Rebic will be back as soon as possible to continue his good partnership with the Swede.
