CM: Romero one of two players who could leave Milan in January

Luka Romero was one of the surprises during pre-season as he impressed on the right flank, scoring a screamer against Real Madrid. However, he could leave AC Milan in January, just like Mattia Caldara.

Romero arrived on a free transfer from Lazio in the summer and showed what he’s capable of during the pre-season. At the age of 18, though, it’s clear that he could use consistent playing time to continue his development.

Therefore, as reported by Calciomercato.com, the winger could leave Milan on loan in January. Stefano Pioli likes the Argentine a lot but the competition on the right flank is fierce, with both Christian Pulisic and Samuel Chukwueze ahead.

Another player who could leave in January, but instead on a permanent basis, is Mattia Caldara. His contract will expire next summer and Milan appear willing to let him go for peanuts, but finding him a club will not necessarily be easy because of that.

Until January, Romero could be a useful resource in some league games and the first Coppa Italia clash.
