CM: Tom Cruise’s performance trainer aiming to help Origi get back to his best

AC Milan have certainly not yet seen the best of Divock Origi since his arrival on a free transfer in the summer, but he has enlisted the help of his performance trainer.

Calciomercato.com report that Nicky Holender is the ‘fitness performance trainer’ for Origi, who in the past has helped many celebrities get into shape from Ben Stiller to Tom Cruise, and for some years he has been the personal consultant of the striker.

The Belgian earned a reputation of being a super-sub for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, but he has been battling physical issues since joining Milan which require personal and professional assistance, just like Zlatan Ibrahimovic gets.

Olivier Giroud continues to work overtime at the age of 35 while Origi is out and Ante Rebic is suffering from back pain. La Repubblica provided some details on Holender’s profile: he played football in England, Norway, Sweden and the USA, and in 2012 founded Epic – an acronym for Elite Performance Improvement Concepts.

The basic idea is that everyone – through a healthy lifestyle, targeted nutrition and specific training – can improve their sports performance, hopefully starting with Origi.
