Massimiliano Allegri and Antonio Conte had a bit of a jab at each other in the media during their press conferences on Monday.
Allegri spoke in his pre-Bologna presser at Milanello today, and he seemed to address Conte’s complaints about how packed Napoli’s fixture list is, with Serie A, the Champions League, Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana to participate in.
“If you want to stay at a high level you need to play a lot of games. I hope to play in the Club World Cup too. I hear people say there’s too many games in the calendar,” he began.

“Can I say something? I spent 5 years at Juve: we won 5 Scudetti, 4 Coppa Italia trophies, went to 2 UCL finals playing more than anyone else. I hope next year I can have these problems, if we can call them problems.”
The Napoli coach was asked for a response to Allegri’s comments by reporters after the ceremony for the Panchina d’Oro award for the best Serie A coach in 2024-25 held in Florence on Monday.
Conte’s quick riposte was as follows: “I don’t know what Allegri said in his press conference. Surely this year, he is not playing that much.”
The score between the two stands at one-all for the season so far. Milan won 2-1 in the league meeting at San Siro earlier in the campaign, while Napoli won in the Supercoppa semi-final en-route to lifting the trophy.

Conte isn’t playing much either, after he embarrassed serie A yet again in Europe.
BTW, Fonseca’s team finished top of the table in Europa league this season, after he had Milan in top 8 of UCL last season before being fired.
Conte was 30th.
I think even if Napoli finishes in top 4 of serie A this season, they should just forfeit from playing in Europe next season and allow the 5th place team to represent Italy. That’s of course if they keep Conte.
Might be Fabregas’ Como, which would be really interesting.
The sooner both these guys are out of Serie A the better. Seems like the league can’t move on with them around.
and who the F are you?
Conte’s style of ball has not worked outside of Italy except for one year with CFC. The next season the team revolted and he was gone. He went to Tottenham which didn’t work out. In fairness, nothing ever works out with the Spurs. Interestingly, I believe that Fabregas (along with Hazard) led a revolt in the Chelsea locker room.
yeah ask.. who the f is he.. hehehe
What an embarrassment of a coach on the continental stage! Gets knocked out of Europe and has the gall to throw jabs about playing less per week. Guess what, you do too Cante
Allegri’s comments were gold.
Pure poking of the bear.
I doubt Conte will be Napoli coach next season. Allegri doesn’t complain and supports his players. Conte always blames others. Toxic.
Meanwhile Inter and Chivu sit on top of the table playing every 3 days.
The Conte hype train is a couple of stops away from pulling into the scrapyard next to Mourinhos
“I don’t know what Allegri said in his press conference. Surely this year, he is not playing that much.”
Well, that’s not Allegri’s fault now is it? Fng idiot. 😀 😀 😀
