CorSera: Positive meeting, strong competition – Milan pushing for €5m Verona defender

AC Milan held a positive meeting with the agent of Filippo Terracciano over a potential move but they face competition to land him, according to a report.

This morning’s edition of Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) confirms that Milan have their eyes on Terracciano, a profile that they like because he is 20 years of age but already has Serie A experience, while he can also play left-back and right-back.

There are also other clubs interested in the player such as Fiorentina, Juventus and Bologna, but yesterday the Rossoneri tried to burn the competition by meeting his agent Andrea D’Amico at Casa Milan.

The meeting with the AC Milan directors was positive and now they will go to try and find an with Verona over a transfer fee. The paper goes on to add that it would be a low-cost deal, around €5m in total.

Meanwhile, yesterday Matteo Gabbia returned to Milan from his loan at Villarreal and from today he will once again be available to Stefano Pioli, meaning he is the first reinforcement.

Last night, before the Coppa Italia game against Cagliari, Geoffrey Moncada confirmed the desire to secure more additions for the rearguard: “We need defenders, we are examining all the opportunities.”
