CorSera: Milan to allocate bulk of summer budget towards No.1 attacking target

AC Milan are ready to put aside the majority of their summer budget to sign their number one target for the attack, a report claims.

According to what Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) are reporting this morning, Milan’s mercato should spring into life after the renewals of Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are confirmed plus the signings of Divock Origi and Renato Sanches.

Once those operations are sorted, Milan are willing to commit a large sum of money towards signing Charles De Ketelaere from Club Brugge who they view as the ideal playmaker for Stefano Pioli’s system and the club’s project.

De Ketelaere has an asking price of €40m given his exploits for the Belgian side. He is versatile given that he can play either as a No.10, as a winger or even as a centre-forward and he stands at 192cm tall. The 21-year-old amassed 18 goals and 10 assists in 49 appearances across all competitions in 2021-22.
