CorSport: Agent makes bold request as Milan put first renewal offer on the table

Having struggled to renew the contracts of Gigio Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu, Milan don’t want to make the same mistake again. Therefore, work is underway to renew those who will expire in 2022.

One of these players is Franck Kessie, who has been a key player for the Rossoneri this season. He has played almost every game from start to finish and has also increased his goal contributions, currently at 17 in the league (11 goals, 6 assists).

According to Corriere Dello Sport (via MilanLive), Milan have already made a renewal offer for the midfielder, valued at €3.5m per year until 2025. Kessie earns €2.2m per year in his current deal so it would be a boost.

However, his agent has made a huge request of €6m per year, which is too much for the Rossoneri. In the coming months, therefore, they will work to decrease the distance and reach an agreement that satisfies everyone.
