Now that the season has officially ended it is time for clubs to begin making decisions regarding loan players, and that applies to Bologna with Alexis Saelemaekers.

Today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via Radio Rossonera) talks about the future of Saelemaekers, who had some injury issues during the beginning of his loan spell at Bologna but then ended up making 32 appearances across all competitions, with four goals and three assists to his name.
According to what was reported by the newspaper, Bologna would like to buy Saelemaekers from Milan, but they have not yet made a final decision. For this reason, there are three scenarios that open up.
In the first scenario, their directors Di Vaio and Sartori agree to pay €10m to Milan in order to make his loan move permanent, which is the amount that the option to buy was set at last summer when the clubs shook hands.
The second hypothesis is that the former Anderlecht man returns to Milan and stays, presumably because Bologna decide they do not need him or choose to bring in someone else instead with their Champions League revenues.
Finally, there is a third possibility: Bologna could decide to let the June 30th deadline pass and then negotiate a new deal with Milan, potentially getting a more favourable price for Saelemaekers, though that carries its own risks.
