CorSport: Milan have two ways in mind to sign Chelsea outcast – the current request

Milan need to sign one more midfielder for the tandem before the start of the season, as Soualiho Meite has left the club. Several names have been mentioned recently, including the well-known Tiemoue Bakayoko.

The 26-year-old isn’t a stranger to Serie A as he spent last season on Napoli. And, of course, he was on loan at Milan in the 2018/19 season. He has now set his eyes on a return to the Rossoneri, by the looks of it.

According to Corriere Dello Sport, as cited by Calciomercato.com, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are intrigued by the idea of bringing back Bakayoko. However, they will only do it on one of these two conditions: a loan or a small financial compensation.

Meanwhile, in the initial talks, Chelsea have asked for a fee of €10-12m for the Frenchman. This is simply too much for the Rossoneri, especially since Bakayoko would be the fourth-choice midfielder in the team.
