Today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) confirms that Leao will be available tomorrow for the second leg against Inter after disposing of some discomfort in his adductor muscle, which is a big boost.
Milan have three wins in the last 11 games which means they arrive in a difficult moment, but Leao’s presence as a starter will be essential in boosting the already minuscule chance that the Rossoneri overturn the two-goal deficit.
The Diavolo would have to score twice without conceding to take the game to extra-time, or three times without reply to beat Inter and reach the final, with the Portuguese winger their only consistent source of goals.
Leao did training with the group yesterday and only missed the practice match at the end, then this evening at 17:00 CEST he should do the entire training session with the rest of the team and therefore start.
The renewal of his contract for another five years is on the way and Leao dreams of celebrating it by securing a spot in the first Champions League final of his career, because he is one of the players who most believes that it is still possible to.
