AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli will once again rely on Rafael Leao who he hopes will be decisive against Hellas Verona just as he was last season.

As Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes, Pioli is not planning on making any changes to the starting line-up compared to the team that took to the field against Juventus last weekend and Chelsea in midweek, and that means Leao will get the nod again on the left.
In the middle of next week a new meeting will be staged regarding the extension of the Portuguese international’s contract, which is expiring in 2024. Milan’s goal is to close the issue before the World Cup begins, but it will not be straightforward.
The real obstacle is the €16.5m (plus interest) that Leao has to pay to Sporting CP. The forward is confident that the club will contribute to the payment, but in addition to that he is asking for €7m net per season to extend, while the first enquiries have come from PSG with the Kylian Mbappe situation looking ominous.
