Crotone 1-1 Milan: Player Ratings

By Ahmed Khalifa -

Starting XI:

Donnarumma (6) – After making a fantastic save from a free-kick in the first minute, Gigio couldn’t do much about Crotone’s goal but made some great saves in the second half.

Calabria (5.5) – Another poor performance from the young Italian fullback who hasn’t looked confident lately in recent games on the right side of the Rossoneri defense.

Zapata (5.5) – Captain for the day with a few absences Zapata had a bad day at the office, failing to prevent the Crotone goal which he should’ve dealt with.

Paletta (6) – The Argentine-Italian got his second goal of the season, a very messy one, to equalize for the Rossoneri and was solid in defense for the away side.

Vangioni (5.5) – Back in the line-up following De Sciglio’s suspension, Leonel Vangioni looked a bit rusty from the start but did well in the left side of the Rossoneri defense.

Kucka (5) – It was a lackluster performance from the Slovak, who usually bosses the midfield with his strength but looked weak in most parts of the game and got sent off late.

Locatelli (6) – Despite looking a bit shaky, young Manuel Locatelli put on a solid performance in the Rossoneri midfield and made some nice pieces of play.

Fernandez (6) – It was a good performance from the Chilean. Though he didn’t make much of an impact in attack, he controlled the center of the pitch well.

Suso (6.5) – The Spanish winger was the only Milan player to really test the Crotone goalkeeper in the first half but it was still not enough as the Rossoneri failed to pick up a win.

Lapadula (6) – Starting ahead of Bacca, Gianluca Lapadula had a good match, showing hard work and dedication as usual, though he could’ve done better to score or create chances.

Deulofeu (5.5) – It wasn’t a good game for Gerard Deulofeu. The Spaniard overdoes the dives and complaining and it’s really frustrating to the Milan fans.

Substitutions:

Ocampos (5) – Another game where the Argentine hasn’t made any impact whatsoever. Lucas Ocampos doesn’t really add much to the attack.

Bacca (N/A) – Milan’s top scorer came on late for Gerard Deulofeu but didn’t have time to threaten Crotone or get any chance at goal. Should’ve been put on earlier.

Gomez (N/A) – The Paraguayan defender was brought on for Leonel Vangioni who got a cramp after striking the ball just a few minutes before the final whistle.

The coach:

Montella (5.5) – This is the second consecutive match in which Milan were going into expected to pick up three points and failed. The Italian coach should really work on the team’s motivation and tactics more as the Rossoneri are failing to get the crucial points.
