Giroud’s numbers since joining Milan suggest he has a second wave of youth, starting with his goal scoring record of 23 in 56 appearances overall, with 43 of those being starts. He is on 9 this season already with 5 having come in Serie A and 4 in the Champions League.
Not taking him to Qatar would be harsh therefore, and RMC Sport (via La Gazzetta dello Sport) report that Deschamps has decided on the final spots for his squad and Giroud is part of the list that will become official on Wednesday at 20:00 CET, live on TV.
He should be joined by the likes of Karim Benzema, Kylian Mbappé and Antoine Griezmann in the forward department, with Les Blues looking to win a second straight World Cup after triumphing in Russia back in 2018.
