According to Di Marzio, Taremi is one of the names at the top of the list for Milan as they look for a centre-forward to help Olivier Giroud out. The Iran international had 31 goals and 14 assists last season across all competitions.
Milan have already made an offer which was not deemed sufficient. Porto are starting from an initial request of €30m and it is not certain that they will accept €25m including bonuses, so €25m plus bonuses could be needed.
Meanwhile, Inter are also evaluating the 30-year-old as an alternative to Romelu Lukaku. Agent Jorge Mendes is looking after the interests of Taremi and he could be a key player, having spoken with Milan in the Rafael Leao renewal talks.
A decision on the forward’s future will therefore be the result of a joint reflection between the player and his entourage, in which Mendes’ experience weighs.
