Di Marzio: Problems with Silva-Rebic swap resolved; contract signing imminent

AC Milan are ‘confident’ that they can resolve the issues holding up Andre Silva’s move to Eintracht Frankfurt, a report claims.

On Sunday evening, it emerged that Milan had struck a deal with the Bundesliga side over a loan swap involving Silva and Croatian forward Ante Rebic.

Rebic was subsequently left out of Eintracht’s game against Fortuna Dusseldorf and travelled to Milano for a medical on Monday.

The basis of the deal is a two-year loan move (cost of €5m) with €20m option to buy, as La Gazzetta dello Sport‘s Nicolo Schira revealed on Twitter

A video from Anto Vitiello on Twitter even showed Rebic arriving at the Ambrosiana clinic for the final fitness tests before heading to Casa Milan to sign his contract and be officially unveiled as a new Milan player.

However, out of nowhere a snag in negotiations appears, as Gianluca Di Marzio as reported via his official Twitter account that there are problems on Silva’s end of the deal.

The problems were not specified by the Sky Italia journalist, but it could be inferred that it would either be issues with his medical or personal terms, given the advanced nature of the deal.

Despite this, Di Marzio has offered a positive update by stating that everything is now in order and that the deal can go through as planned.

“All ok for #Rebic to @acmilan and #AndreSilva to @Eintracht, contract signing now,” his tweet reads.
