Di Marzio: Furlani carrying out the negotiations for Milan – Moncada’s role

Since Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara were sacked by AC Milan, quite a lot has changed in the way the Rossoneri operate. Further details have now emerged on the practical side of things.

Geoffrey Moncada, the Chief Scout of the club, has been promoted and now has a more important role within the ‘integrated working group’. CEO Giorgio Furlani is now also more hands-on, monitoring the activity closely.

In fact, as reported by Gianluca Di Marzio (via MilanEye), Furlani is the one carrying out all the negotiations. Meanwhile, Moncada and Stefano Pioli have been entrusted with the technical side of things, such as picking the players to target on the mercato.

It’s still very much early days but it will be interesting to see what the first summer of the new management will result in. The expectations are mixed, but they certainly need to prove that firing Maldini and Massara was justified.
