Di Marzio: Milan could rival Juve to sign Sassuolo midfielder on loan deal

AC Milan are still looking for a midfielder on the market and several profiles have been evaluated in the last few weeks. Davide Frattesi is one of them, a player whom the Rossoneri have made a new move for.

The 22-year-old impressed with Sassuolo this past season and has been on the radar of the big Italian teams this summer. Milan are in need of a midfielder to make up for Franck Kessie’s exit and Frattesi has been mentioned as an option.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Rossoneri made a new move for the midfielder following the injury of Sandro Tonali. It’s still very early days, though, as Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara would have to face reality with regard to the price tag.

A loan with an obligation to buy could perhaps suffice to convince Sassuolo, but the figures will also have to be agreed upon. Meanwhile, Juventus have also initiated contacts for Frattesi and it could be a duel between the two teams.
