Di Marzio: Romagnoli could renew as Milan have offered more than Lazio – the latest

Alessio Romagnoli’s contract will expire at the end of the season and in recent weeks, it has been reported that he’s likely to leave the club. However, the situation has now taken a u-turn, a report claims.

The centre-back has lost his starting spot at Milan and when the Lazio rumours started to emerge, many thought it made sense for him to move on. Especially since previous reports have suggested that the Biancocelesti have offered a higher salary.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio (via SempreMilan.it), however, this isn’t the case as it is in fact Milan that have offered more. A renewal thus shouldn’t be ruled out as things stand given that Romagnoli is happy at the club.

A move to Lazio is tempting for the Rossoneri captain as he’s a boyhood Biancocelesti fan but a renewal simply cannot be ruled out at this point. It remains to be seen what the outcome of the situation will be, but nothing has been decided.
