Mediaset: Full-back wants to leave Fiorentina – Milan alerted to €25m opportunity

Yet another report has claimed that Dodo and Fiorentina are at loggerheads regarding a renewal, and that AC Milan are interested in him.

On the right side last season, Emerson Royal, Kyle Walker and Alex Jimenez rotated, never finding stability. If for years the team was more unbalanced on the left, Milan could rebalance things from 2025-26 and beyond because they need two new starting full-backs.

Dodo an opportunity for Milan?

According to SportMediaset, Dodo’s future may lie far from Florence. The full-back, coming off an excellent season that ended with five assists in Serie A, is reportedly pushing to leave Fiorentina, and there’s no shortage of admirers.

The former Shakhtar Donetsk star arrived in Italy three years ago and still has two years left on his contract with Fiorentina. Negotiations for a renewal have essentially never gotten underway, with Fiorentina unwilling to accommodate Dodo’s demands.

La Viola are convinced they can convince the Brazilian to stay even without a renewal, but relations between the directors and the player are at an all-time low. So, the Brazilian would like to leave Fiorentina before the start of next season.

To satisfy the former Shakhtar player, around €25m would be needed, a figure that would satisfy Fiorentina but which no club currently appears willing to invest. Juventus are admirers Dodo, and is definitely on the radar of Roma and Milan, who are both looking for a right-back.

  1. Any word on what the demands are, before we get too excited.

Must admit, he’s a player I’d be very happy to see at RB and there aren’t too many obvious and realistic candidates out there. Except Calabria, obviously, although I guess he isn’t realistic with how we treated him.

  2. Fair prices indeed not really the point here.

Anyway some ppl knows the names of few players but big missing is Rabiot still.

Vlahovic-Noslin-Boniface seems to be the fair one attacking program

    Mukau?

  3. I like dodo he’s very good but he’s way to attacking and doesn’t defend enough, but I still like him and wouldn’t mind him

  4. We don’t need RB we already have Jimenez and salaemeker if we want RB then upgrade is needed someone like Wesley dodo is good player but i don’t trust someone with ACL

  5. Get him. He’s a good player and really played well against us. But then again he was going against Theo… so you really can’t judge by that.

  6. Have we given up on Jimenez? I guess he’s not ours anyways so….but would rather see if we can buy him outright than take a chance on any of these other players?

All seem to have the same limitations as Jimenez – defending. But I’d rather go with what you know than what you don’t and try to secure Jimenez permanent stay to be our RB – and seems he likes it at Milan and wants to stay

    1. Agreed.

Him and Bartesaghi with Gabbia and you have the building blocks for a new era.

Otherwise they could just keep signing new FBs every transfer window.

    2. Here’s the problem with Jiminez….has potential yes and has shown he could be capable. But we can’t play him too often because it could mean he gets better and his value rise and Real can use the buyback clause. So in an odd way, we can develop him but not too much. And that’s not going him or us any favors. Best he sort out that contractual situation imo

    3. Juve develop morata in the past and RM use buyback to take morata back only to sell him to chelsea for big money. RM are smart using other club for increase their value player. They also success fooling ACM develop brahim diaz . ACM can develop jimenez but slowly until he can get rid that RM buyback clause
