MN: ‘Dumped by Real, captain of Milan’ – Hernandez looking for revenge on Bernabeu return

In the summer of 2019, a 22-year-old Theo Hernandez joined AC Milan, and now, five years later, he is looking to show Real Madrid what they missed out on.

Milan will certainly not complain about the decision Real made five years ago, and neither will Theo. The Frenchman is one of the best left-backs in the world, and this has been the case for some time now. However, he was never given the chance to blossom in Spain.

It is a decision that he has spoken about in the past, as Milan News recalls, with the defender stating previously that it was the best move for everyone. However, he admitted that he didn’t have a chance to prove his worth to Los Blancos.

When given the chance by the Rossoneri, he took it with both hands and neither party has looked back since. Theo has captained the side on multiple occasions, and he may be given the armband on Tuesday night – to give the game more ‘spice’.

The Frenchman has written himself into Rossoneri history by breaking Paolo Maldini’s scoring record, and with a new contract possibly to come shortly, Milan will only be grateful for Real’s unwillingness to give Theo the push he needed, and the 27-year-old is looking ahead to his return to the Bernabeu.
