ESPN: Issue regarding agent commission resolved – Kessie nears Barcelona move

More and more sources are now reporting the news that Franck Kessie is very close to officially becoming a Barcelona player from the end of the season.

According to the latest from ESPN (via MilanLive), it seems that the negotiation between Barcelona and the player’s entourage has been unlocked and it is thanks to his agent George Atangana, who has now completed the process to register with the the Spanish Royal Football Federation (RFEF).

Without that membership, Atangana would not have been allowed to collect the commission generated from Kessie’s transfer to Barcelona. The Catalan club were happy to pay the agent as part of the operation but this bureaucratic needed to be resolved first.

Gerard Romero is reporting that Barcelona reached an agreement with Kessie during talks that took place last night and the operation can be considered closed. Romero adds (via BarcaInfo) that he will earn €4m net per season plus €2.5m in potential bonuses, which would be less than the reported offers from Milan.
