Fabrizio Romano outlines extend of Milan and Spurs’ interest in €30m+ Sampdoria star

AC Milan and Spurs are both keen on Mikkel Damsgaard of Sampdoria but it will not be an easy negotiation, Fabrizio Romano has revealed.

A number of different sources have reported that Milan want to sign Damsgaard as he is having a fantastic European Championships with Denmark after a promising first year in Serie A with Sampdoria. Considering he is only 20 years of age, there appears to be a lot of potential in the player.

According to the latest from journalist Fabrizio Romano (via @Route1futbol), Tottenham have scouted Mikkel Damsgaard for a long time in recent months but there have been no offers nor is there any advanced negotiations.

He adds that Milan have always appreciated Damsgaard, but it is not an easy deal with Sampdoria who, we can infer, are likely to want a big sum to sell such a talented forward. Samp president Massimo Ferrero recently told Rai GR Parliament that his asking price is already €30m or more.

“Damsgaard ‘is not for sale because I want to reach a valuation of 30 to 50 million euros. He is a pure talent,” he said (via MilanLive).
