As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Milan News), there is a gap of €300,000 between what Milan are offering the French striker and what he would like to receive.
The new deal will keep the 36-year-old at the club until the end of next season and it was initially believed that it would be on the same terms as what he earns now.
Giroud is expecting an offer of at least €4 million per season in order to stay with the club, but it is hard to imagine the two parties ways over what is, relatively speaking, a low amount of money.
New meetings are expected to take place in the very near future to finalise his renewal and keep some continuity in that position.
