Interest in Dodo is ramping up as his future at Fiorentina is beginning to look increasingly uncertain, a report claims.

According to Corriere Fiorentino (via Calciomercato.com), the difficult negotiations over the renewal of his contract – expiring in 2027 – has alerted various clubs. In fact, the paper talks of a breaking point, which came when there was a delay in tabling a new deal with a pay rise.

La Viola are asking for at least €25m to sell the right-back.  Juventus and Barcelona have made moves, with Milan in the background. However, Inter have also been named as a candidate. Any club that wants him can pay his €25m release clause by July 15.

Having arrived at Fiorentina in the summer of 2022 – after a first year with 50 total games, one goal and 4 assists – Dodò had to deal with a torn cruciate ligament in 2023. After a six-month recovery, he returned to the field in March 2024, getting six assists in the last league season.

Milan said goodbye to Kyle Walker and will soon offload Emerson Royal, so they need a new starter on the right side. Dodò’s qualities could be right up Massimiliano Allegri’s street, with the Rossoneri having held a few exploratory talks.

The interest, however, is concrete given that Milan have been following the Brazilian full-back for some time.

  1. Already get ACL , fiorentina will be happy to sell him for 25m euro. It is better to find healthy RB

    1. LOL. Once again we’ve found someone who fails to understand anything about ACL-injuries. 😀 😀 😀

    2. Rodri just had an ACL tear you don’t see City selling him off, Baggio tore his ACL in both knees, one in 1985 when he was 18 and the other later in his career in the other, didn’t stop him from the Greatest Italian footballer ever and the best footballer on the planet for a time.

  2. 23/24 season was the only season where he missed huge chunk… his first and current seasons he played 35 and 33 games only in Serie A, respectively… don’t make stuff up

20-25M for Dodo is a great deal!
Andrew Robertson after Kerkez is a doable deal as well!

    this line-up in just 1 mercato is a master-piece:
(except for fullbacks, we already have the rest)

    Leao – Gimenez – Puli
    Jashari – Modric/Fofana – Ricci
    Robertson* – Pavlovic/Tomori – Gabbia/newCB – Dodo*
    Maignan

      1. most common thing to have is 2 fullbacks that are complementary… since Barte and Jimenez are already more defensively and attacking minded fullbacks, respectively; it would make sense to have similar profiles as starters.

Robertson/Barte – Pavlovic – Gabbia back 3, while Dodo/JIimenez bring the ball up

  3. It’s becoming really confusing what the full back plan is, I thought we’d know more by now. Obviously the team have plans and just has managed to keep them secret so far, but absolutely no ‘known’ interest from reliable sources in anyone.

  4. Since Pioli is the coach of Fiorentina, throw in Bennacer in the deal. That should knock down around 5 mil of the fee.
Dodo would be a very good pick up for the RB position.

  5. 20 million for Dodo, and we have a right back that’s a known quality. I wonder what happened with the talks for Pubill though. And we still need a LB.

  6. Dodo + Henderson would be very reliable full back pairing.
To replace Henderson in a few years time.
