There was a meeting between Paulo Fonseca and his superiors after the defeat against Napoli on Tuesday night, the contents of which has now emerged.
According to Calciomercato.com, the discussion had on the one side Fonseca who was preaching his optimism about the growth of the team, and on the other side Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Geoffrey Moncada and Giorgio Furlani.

The trust in the coach ‘was confirmed but not indefinitely’. What might be the time limit? The game against Cagliari before the next international break, scheduled for November 11, could be decision. To simplify further: either the results change or the coach probably will.
There is no ‘strong and unconditional support’ present, with Fonseca immediately called to prepare fpr the trip to the U-Power Stadium to take on Monza on Saturday. At Milanello yesterday the directors were not present, preferring to keep distance, even if Frank Rijkaard visited.
Three months after his official appointment, Fonseca is called upon to unite the squad, with resolving the Rafael Leão case as the top priority. The coach has a lot of issues to address, including the points per game average which is reminiscent of the start under Marco Giampaolo in 2019-20.

Milan don’t have a position for Maldini to cheer on the sidelines. As a SD he was a mixed bag of d*cks. I’m not even confident that if Saudi’s buy the club and ask him to run it “open wallet” style that he would succeed.

Stop downplaying Milan’s Scudetto. Yes, all of the above stated were responsible for our truimph season. Before Maldini we weren’t even EL worthy club and with him we were again CL certainty. Something that’s not so guaranteed anymore.
Don’t forget who brought most those players in, and how far maldini took us in champions. He fought to get better players but had to settle for cheaper. He publicly said we need to invest to get better. Instead we sell one of our biggest stars for a couple chumps.
Amen. The only blame would be losing a few players for free, which seems like blasphemy for some fans. And even that has been a strong consequence of the tight budget policy with a salary cap not evolving accordingly to the quality of the team and players.
Firing Maldini to replace him with a video scout and a clown is the same logic as selling Tonali to replace him with a bunch of donkeys and firing Pioli to replace him with Fonseca. Downgrades all over the team, at every level.

Gotta disagree with you there. Although maldini had his own faults. He sure knew how to build a team a lot better than this fulhani, moncada, ibra characters. Having a successful career on the field as a player, he also had some minimal experience in managment. Ibra has always been a mercenary. These fools spent plenty of money in the transfer market and got nothing to show for. They even managed to break the chemistry and identity of the team. Hope redbird learns a thing or two from Chelsea. Untargeted purchases will not serve the team well.

He should have been fired long ago (only better action would have been, not hired in the first place). Now it’s becoming too little, too late.
First, I think that no good coach will want to walk into this mess. Second, I think we will probably be even worse off in terms of starting again from scratch with one fourth of the season already over. Third, it’s likely that cheap RedBird, if they fire the mediocre Fonseca, will just hire another mediocre cheap yes-man loser. It’s been rather clear that they do not want a top coach who is also a true manager of the team who will make waves and require expensive signings. So, who exactly would be a better choice that RedBird would be willing to endorse? It would be another lateral move or a downgrade.
The management (who are the main culprits) and Fonseca are destroying Milan, and the damage has mostly already been done; we became a mid-table team not only in points, but also in the way we behave as a club.
They will probably be wishy-washy about it, Fonseca will get a few good results which will delay any action, and we’ll likely just continue to go on with mediocre up-and-down results. When Fonseca then predictably fails to push this team into one of the UCL spots for next season, then and only then our management will finally panic enough to fire him, because he will have committed the only sin that they really fear, that is, he will have prevented the team from making millions in UCL prizes and merchandise.
Let’s be serious, they are a private equity firm. They have declared in all words that winning is boring and not their priority. What they want is the financial account being positive and the club achieving valuation so that they sell it for a big profit down the line. Given that not making the UCL not only decreases the account balance but also damages the club’s valuation, THAT’s when they will fire Fonseca.
Mark my words. This is what will happen. I will be very surprised if anything different happens.
Apart from Tudor, the other options are terrible.
Sarri is an excellent coach in general, but he lost a bit of his touch, and is on the demise.
Allegri isn’t a coach for crises, he is not very technically demanding.. but tactically.. boy oh boy.. and if the tactical awareness level we have is RLC, Musah, and Emerson, hiring Allegri will be worse than the circus we saw at Juventus last season.
And Terzic is an overrated coach. A couple of lucky moments and glimmers of individual brilliance got him to the Champions League final, and that deceived many into thinking he’s a better coach than he actually is.
So yeah.. if these are the choices, it’s definitely Tudor for me.
OK, so if Tudor is the best option, then it’s entirely excluded that he will be hired, because our managers have a knack for picking the worst possible option, like they did with Fonseca when great coaches were available an willing.
Yes, apparently the players revolted under Terzic, kept playing following the guidelines of the previous coach, didn’t obey any of his instructions, and were so angry at him that management decided to fire him even though he had just reached the UCL final, which is practically unheard of. For someone to get to being one of the top 2 clubs in the biggest club competition in the world, and be rewarded with being immediately fired, you can tell that the problems behind closed doors were immense. Given that we have at Milan problems with discipline and with players disrespecting the coach, that probably means that Terzic is even worse for Milan right now than Allegri, who at least knows Serie A.
Sarri would be decent, and Allegri is not a good option but maybe less bad then Terzic like I said.
That means, Terzic will be the one picked.

Bring back abate. Get rid of ibra and have tassotti as his assistant manager. Let him have a go til the end of the season. Will be good for our youth players. We’ll probably still finish in the top four. Then we can either keep him on or we’ll have time to sort out someone else. Still glad we didn’t go for Conte as he averages a year and a half with teams.
So you want Abate (who by the way is pretty happy with his Serie C team and would not want to be under Ibrahimovic again) for a one-year place holder, but you wouldn’t want Conte because he’d be only good for one year and a half? You are making little sense.
Besides, Conte is 100 times a better coach than Abate. That’s why Conte has coached some of the best teams in the world, while Abate has coached a primavera team and is coaching in Serie C.
He showed his “value” at AS Roma and despite all that, our “smart” people in management wanted him 😆😆
