From Russia: Milan winger will move to CSKA Moscow in deal potentially worth €10m

AC Milan winger Samu Castillejo is closing in on joining Russian side CSKA Moscow on a loan deal, according to a report.

According to Maxim Fridman of Eurostavka on Twitter, Castillejo will move to Russian Premier League giants CSKA Moscow on loan, according to sources. He adds that Milan are ready and willing to include an option to buy set at the €8-10m mark, with negotiations ongoing to agree a final deal.

It comes after Sport24 wrote this afternoon how sporting director Ricky Massara announced this afternoon that CSKA are interested in signing the Spaniard before the transfer window shuts for Russian Premier League clubs on September 7.

“There is indeed interest from CSKA. I can’t say more yet,” Massara apparently told Sport24 correspondent Mikhail Mozharovsky.

It would certainly cap off what has been a rollercoaster summer for Castillejo, who has been destined to leave and destined to stay on multiple occasions, linked with both a move to Germany and a return to Spain.
