As La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) are reporting, Giovanni Sartori should be officially announced either today or tomorrow as the new sporting director of Bologna and one of his first jobs will be to sign a new centre-back.
As per the report, one idea could be Milan’s Mattia Caldara, who was out on loan at Venezia this season but they suffered relegation to Serie B. The former Atalanta man still has a one-year contract with the Rossoneri but they do not see him as part of the plans moving forward.
Caldara was signed by Milan back in August 2018 on a five-year contract for €35m payable over two years, with Leonardo Bonucci moving the other way to Juventus after an unsuccessful one season stay at Milan (via Wiki).
