La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that De Ketelaere is at the top of the ranking for chances created in his first eight Serie A appearances as he created at least three scoring chances per game which is better than Zielinski (2.7), Deulofeu (2.6), Politano (2.5) and Elmas (2.4).
The Belgian is yet to score a goal since his move from Club Brugge for over €30m whereas last season he got 18, so it is natural that fans soon expect him to open his account.
Against Napoli he put Messias through on goal, against Empoli he found Rafael Leao with a cut-back that should have resulted in a goal, and in Salzburg he started the move that led to Alexis Saelemakers’ opener.
