GdS: Giampaolo pondering new attacking trio; Piatek on the bench

Following a very disappointing start to the season, losing four of the first six games, Giampaolo is considering making some changes against Genoa to save his job with the Rossoneri, which is at great risk.

According to today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews.it), Piatek could start on the bench for Saturday’s clash, as the Polish striker has failed to impress at the start of the season.

The Rossoneri have struggled to find the back of the net, scoring just two goals from open play in six games. An additional two were scored by Piatek from the spot, though this hasn’t unleashed him in open play as of yet, struggling to link up with his teammates.

Therefore, as the newspaper states, Giampaolo is thinking about fielding a new attacking trio against Genoa, consisting of Suso, Rafael Leao and Rebic. The Portuguese youngster, who scored against Fiorentina, would thus be deployed in the centre instead.

Likely AC Milan XI vs. Genoa (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Calabria, Duarte, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Krunic (Kessie), Bennacer, Calhanoglu; Suso, Leao, Rebic.
