GdS: Hellas Verona star waiting for Milan despite having Napoli move all agreed

Hellas Verona playmaker Mattia Zaccagni has not yet finalised a summer move to Napoli because he is waiting for AC Milan, a report claims.

Zaccagni has been one of the most impressive players for Verona since the arrival of Ivan Juric as head coach, racking up a combined 10 goal contributions in 28 league appearances this season, including 5 goals and 5 assists.

This has led to speculation that he will look to take the leap to a bigger club at the end of the season and both Napoli and Milan have been repeatedly linked with a move for the 25-year-old.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Zaccagni’s switch to join Napoli has already been defined between the clubs, but the forward has asked for some time before giving a definitive answer to the Neapolitans.

Milan are behind this indecision too, as the Rossoneri are an option that the player wants to evaluate very carefully. It would allow him to stay in the north of Italy, and of course as it stands Milan would be in the Champions League next season.
