GdS: Juventus have a very slim chance of being in 2023-24 Champions League

Yesterday’s news regarding the revoking of Juventus’ 15-point penalty until a new trial is conducted has already caused a lot of fallout.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it) sheds light on the re-evaluation of the penalty which has currently allowed Juve to recover the 15 points and thus jump up to third in the table

However, the CONI ruling – which arrived from the Collegio di Garanzia yesterday – did not make the sporting offence disappear. Instead it will now go to the Court of Appeal, as evidenced by the confirmation of the sentence inflicted on the Juventus management.

For this reason, the paper claims that the chances of Juventus playing in the next edition of the Champions League remain very slim because there is still a punishment forthcoming.

Moreover, the will is to arrive at a definitive ruling – in a sporting sense – by the end of the current league season in order to be able to provide an official and clear league table by the final whistle on the last day of the season.
