Due to the Coronavirus emergency, the leaders of Italian football are working hard to resume the season in a safe manner. Of course, their task is far from easy and several hypotheses have previously been presented.

With the situation changing each day, though, they have been forced to change all of their plans. The latest idea, as reported by Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews.it), is to resume the season without playing any games in northern Italy.

This would affect cities such as Milan and Bergamo, which have been hit the hardest in this outbreak. However, Milan and Inter have rejected the idea, explaining that it wouldn’t help to play in another stadium.

Per the newspaper, as the games will be held behind closed doors anyway, leaving San Sito for another stadium wouldn’t increase the level of safety. It remains to be seen what the final decision will be, of course depending on the Coronavurys developments.
