In recent weeks, AC Milan have been linked with Brescia’s golden boy Sandro Tonali, just like all of the big clubs in Serie A. With a youth revolution on the cards, the midfielder would be a great addition to the squad.
Just yesterday, Gianluca Di Marzio (via MilanLive) stated that the hottest name for the Rossoneri market is Tonali. In fact, they have even started contacts with the player’s entourage, wanting to understand the margins of a potential negotiation.
Furthermore, a week ago, the midfielder spoke about the future in an interview with Corriere Dello Sport (via Calciomercato.com). Among other things, he revealed that he’s a Milan fan, having followed them since he was a kid.
Speaking to Tuttosport in a long and revealing interview (via Calciomercato.com), Brescia president Massimo Cellino added fuel to the fire. When asked about Tonali, he revealed an interesting ‘pact’ that he has with the player.
“In February, I received another very important offer and I didn’t say anything to Tonali, with the intention of giving him a nice surprise in June. The name of the team I can’t say, unfortunately, the coronavirus has changed everything.
“My dream would be to keep him, but I have a pact with Sandro. He knows that when he will ask to leave, I will let him go. I won’t make it a question of money, the important thing is that he decides with his heart. And it is only he who will decide.
“Who is Milan? Once upon a time, they were Berlusconi and Galliani, the masters I was inspired by. Anyway, I’m not sure that Tonali supported Milan, for sure I know he loved Gattuso,” he concluded.
