The asking price for Bologna defender Takehiro Tomiyasu has risen from the reported figure in the summer, it is claimed.

Fabrizio Romano recently reported for Calciomercato.com that Tomiyasu was close to joining Milan in the summer transfer window. When it became apparent that Wesley Fofana was unattainable, in-depth contacts regarding the Japan international began.
He did add that Tomiyasu is still a player on Milan’s radar, and La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive) claim that Bologna have set their asking price for the 22-year-old ahead of the winter window.
It will take around €30million to snatch the versatile defender from the Emilian club when the window reopens, a figure that is perhaps eye-watering to some but is reflective of his age, potential, Serie A experience and ability to provide cover at right-back as well as play centre-back.
The Milan management will have to ponder seriously though whether a figure like that could be better invested elsewhere or if indeed better value for money exists in other targets.
