GdS: Modest wage demands revealed as Milan prepare renewal for Calabria

Davide Calabria has been one of Milan’s best players this season, maintaining a high level even in the tough times, and he certainly deserves a pay rise. His current contract will expire in 2022 and work is underway to extend it.

The 24-year-old has made 30 league appearances this season – with two goals and two assists – and his performances could earn him a spot in Italy’s squad for the Euros. Therefore, it’s easy to see why Milan want to lock him down.

Talks are underway between the club and Calabria’s entourage, with the hope that an agreement can be found without any issues. The right-back currently earns €1.1m per year and he wants to roughly double his salary, per Tuttosport (via MilanNews).

€2M per year is the demand that has been put forward to the Milan management, which is very modest considering how well Calabria has done this season. It seems like a no-brainer, therefore, that his contract should be renewed.
