GdS: Milan ‘unleashed’ on the market – two more signings wanted within 48 hours

AC Milan are wanting to sign two more players in the next 48 hours before they leave for their preseason tour of the USA, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) describes Milan as ‘unleashed’ in the summer window so far with five additions confirmed after Sandro Tonali’s sale, namely Marco Sportiello, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Luka Romero, Christian Pulisic and Tijjani Reijnders.

Now, they want two more deals done before July 21 when the plane will be on the runway ready to take the squad across the ocean to the United States, and the names are Arnaut Danjuma and Yunus Musah.

CEO Giorgio Furlani and chief scout Geoffrey Moncada are working hard to sign the Villarreal and Valencia pair, who were left out of their clubs’ respective friendlies against Altach and Nottingham Forest last night.

Talks with the two Spanish clubs have been going on for days now and have entered the key phase. Danjuma is seen as a wild card for the attack because of his versatility and should arrive on a €2-3m paid loan, while Musah should complete the midfield for €18-20m.

Milan will also talk and talk about Samuel Chukwueze with Villarreal but their demands continue to be high. The feeling is Milan will beat Everton to Danjuma in a €2.5m loan, while Musah wants to join and calls never arrived from the Premier League as Valencia joped.

Pioli wants players capable of alternating between 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3 and both fit the bill. The Dutchman is predominantly a striker who can play wide on the left, while the USA international is capable of playing multiple roles in midfield.
