The French midfielder was left at Bordeaux on a season-long loan for last season, which is why Milan were able to get such a good deal (€8m paid), but despite impressing in preseason he has not been seen much in the league so far.
The 22-year-old has played just cameos off the bench so far and he wasn’t included in the Champions League squad list either, even though that was more understandable given the regulations.
According to Luca Bianchin of La Gazzetta dello Sport, in tonight’s game against Hellas Verona there may be a surprise as Adli could in fact get the nod to start, even though he has not played for almost a month.
Pioli’s reasoning is simple how training has evolved this week, with the playmaker clearly appearing in good shape and impressing.
