In the last 24 hours, there have been many rumours regarding AC Milan’s starting XI for the derby against Inter tomorrow. However, it looks like Stefano Pioli will go with his first idea, a report claims.
The manager has decided to switch from the 4-2-3-1 formation to a 4-3-3, following the disappointing results as of late. With Ismael Bennacer injured, Tommaso Pobega has been named as the replacement in midfield.
Junior Messias was tested in that position in training yesterday and on Thursday, but according to Gazzetta Dello Sport, it will be Pobega from the first minute. If Messias were to start, then it would certainly be a gamble from the manager.
Simon Kjaer will replace the injured Fikayo Tomori in the heart of the defence and Alexis Saelemaekers is tipped to start on the right flank.
