This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) analyses the performances that the referee Rapuano had and they gave him a rating of 5.5 out of 10 for his handling of the game, with the main criticism being how many cautions he gave out.
They describe it as a game with some flaws, especially when it came to yellow cards. In particular towards the end of the game, when he warned Luca Pellegrini for an intervention on Rebic.
Then, a yellow card was given to Malick Thiaw whcih was an exaggerated one for a foul on Basic one minute from the 90th.
In the first half, Romagnoli’s booking was also excessive. In the 84th minute, Rebic’s goal was dissalowed correctly, as he startedd in an offside position before beating Provedel.
