Everything has been agreed for Stefano Pioli to take over from Marco Giampaolo as head coach of Milan, a report claims.
The Rossoneri leadership have seemingly made the decision to sack Giampaolo, as our correspondent Vito Angele confirmed on Monday.
Luciano Spalletti looked to be set to take over, but then in an extraordinary twist Stefano Pioli took pole position due to issues with Spalletti’s severance from Inter.
Pioli was apparently ready to sign his contract today, as per La Gazzetta dello Sport reported, while Gianluca Di Marzio added confirmed that the last bits of his deal were being sorted out.
According to Nicolo Schira, everything has been agreed and Pioli is the new head coach of Milan. In the coming hours his signature will arrive followed by an official announcement.
As expected, he will earn €1m between now and June 30, while he will receive €1.5m next season, Schira has confirmed.
