GdS: Tonali’s decision to lower salary was crucial for Milan move – the figures

Milan have finally reached an agreement with Brescia over the signing of Sandro Tonali, who spent last season on loan at the club. The midfielder even agreed to lower his salary to stay at his boyhood club.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, as cited by MilanNews, the fact that Tonali agreed to a pay cut greatly facilitated the move. He went from €1.6m per year to €1.2m in order to stay at the club, which says a lot about his personality.

Milan will pay €7m plus €3m for the youngster, while Giacomo Olzer has also been included as a technical counterpart. In total, it will cost them €20m instead of the €35m that was agreed between the clubs last summer.

Hopefully, Tonali will show his qualities with the Rossoneri next season. He sure seems eager to prove himself after what was an average season, which resulted in the drop and salary and price tag.
