As La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below) report this morning, escape to Istanbul allowed Nicolò Zaniolo to rediscover a serenity that was irretrievably lost in Rome after his fall-out with the Giallorossi.
At Galatasaray, the winger striker found some consistency and has contributed to the successes of the Turkish club as they are heading for the title, but at the moment Zanuolo ‘cannot wait to go home’.
Zaniolo has a €30m release clause built into his deal but the hypothesis of a loan is not excluded by his entourage, which allows potentially interested clubs to overcome the economic difficulty of bringing him back to Serie A.
At this stage more enquiries have received than expressions of concrete interest, while the 23-year-old would be happy to join either Milan or Juventus.
It is the Rossoneri are looking to refresh their attack considering that Junior Messias could leave. Stefano Pioli needs to find players with more quality and personality in that area of the pitch, so Zaniolo could be the man.
