Sky: Giroud favourite to start against Inter with Ibrahimovic unlikely to be at 100%

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is currently unlikely to be fit enough to start the derby against Inter on Saturday evening, according to a report.

The Swedish striker has not yet disposed of the inflammation in his Achilles tendon that forced him off early in the game before the before the break against Juventus, meaning he must continue to work in the gym and not on the field with the rest of his team-mates.

Manuele Baiocchini spoke on Sky (via MilanNews) about the choices that head coach Stefano Pioli is likely to make, reporting that Giroud will play as the starter because Ibrahimovic did not train on the field today.

As a result, it is hard to imagine that he can return and be fit enough to start in the derby, even though his condition will not be known until a few hours before the match. Giroud is doing well and has been training all week, and he will have an extra motivation because it is the first match he would play against Inter.
