AC Milan took the lead at arguably the best time after a sub-par first half against Salernitana thanks to Olivier Giroud’s header.
Milan capitalised on Salernitana’s missed opportunities in the minute added at the end of the first half and the goal came from Giroud. An in-swinging corner from Ismael Bennacer on the right met the head of the Frenchman perfectly and he nodded home from close range, barely having to move.
