Tuttosport: Giroud ready to work overtime as he has a duck to break in Europe

Olivier Giroud will be asked to work overtime over the next couple of games as the only healthy centre-forward that Stefano Pioli can call upon.

Tuttosport (via MilanNews) reports this morning that Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s return is expected after the World Cup, Ante Rebic is struggling with a slipped disc and Divock Origi has returned to Belgium to solve discomfort in his tendon.

Giroud will therefore start against Dinamo Zagreb and against Napoli in the two huge upcoming games this week. Fortunately, the Frenchman is currently having an excellent moment both physically and mentally, as shown by his performance and decisive penalty in the 2-1 win over Sampdoria on Saturday.

One game at a time is the key for Giroud, who will look to score his first Champions League goal for Milan against Dinamo Zagreb tomorrow night after looking a bit lost against Red Bull Salzburg in last week’s first group stage game.
