Olivier Giroud has been forced to work overtime lately due to the injuries of Divock Origi and Ante Rebic. This evening, he will make his seventh consecutive start and that is far from ideal for the striker.

Giroud will turn 36 later this month but that certainly hasn’t been visible in the last few weeks. In the space of 23 days, the Frenchman has played seven games from start (including tonight’s clash) and that is an average of one game every 3.2 days.
He has bagged four goals and one assist in the process, asserting himself as a very important player for Milan. Tonight, he will be hoping to create a new ‘Napoli moment’ after scoring the winner in the last meeting between the two.
He will have to rely on the service of Charles De Ketelaere and Alexis Saelemaekers as Rafael Leao is serving a suspension. A strong match will be required from every player, but above all the team performance must be on top.
