The Ibrahimovic-Milan rumours are about to go crazy. In an interview with the magazine GQ (via MilanNews.it), the Swedish striker confirmed that he will return Serie A as his contract with LA Galaxy is set to expire.
Ever since Ibrahimovic announced that he won’t renew his contract with LA Galaxy, there have been tons of reports about a potential return to AC Milan, as the Rossoneri have struggled at the start of this season.
Just yesterday, The Telegraph reported that the striker has agreed to rejoin the club, seven years after his first spell came to an end. According to the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Rossoneri’s contract offer is for 18 months, worth up to €6m.
As mentioned, the rumours have gathered even more steam, caused by Ibrahimovic himself. In the interview with the magazine, he confirmed that he will make a return to Serie A, while hinting that AC Milan will be the club.
“I will go to a team that has to win again, renew its history and is looking for a challenge against everyone. This is the only way for me to find the necessary stimuli to surprise you again.
“As a footballer, it is not just a matter of choosing a team, there are other factors that must fit in. Even the interests of my family. See you soon in Italy,” he concluded.
